The packing list for her. It definitely was as daunting as you think. Ever since we made that little rule of carrying everything on our backs, I've been hitting the top 10 Google search results on trying to get a perfect solution to pack for cold and warm weather, hiking and beaches, camper van and fancy hotels all in a 40 liter backpack.
The Backpack

Mohit's post already explained some of the reasons why we chose these packs, the importance or not of backpack covers, and day packs. I'll go into some of the girl specific things I chose for the trip.
Imagine a scenario of where a girl is trying to look her cutest during her honeymoon and looking superbly coordinated for the pictures that her children will admire. Scratch that out of your mind right now because that can't happen in this trip! For example, at no point should I be crying about uncomfortable shoes or regret not bringing that fleece for the bus ride.
Shoes
I scoured the TripAdvisor forums to find out what people were wearing on long walking Europe trips or multipurpose water and hiking shoes. People gave so many choices that I wondered if it was worth my bleary eyes. A few brands did come up more often than others.
Water/hiking shoes - The KEEN Women's Whisper Sandal
General walking shoes - Clarks Women's Wave.Cruise Mary Jane
Yes, sex oozes off'em. I've already test driven these shoes on long walks in Atlanta and traveling in India and so far so good! The last pair will be a standard plastic flip flop.
Clothes
I used these blogger's sites to make a plan for my clothes and other items.
- 1 rain jacket windproof/waterproof
- 1 fleece
- 1 pair of travel pants (I will be washing my own clothes and these dry quick!)
- 2 pants (black jeggings and polyester exercise type of pants)
- 1 shorts
- 2 quick-dry shirts
- 9 pairs of underwear
- 3 bras, (1 sports bra, 2 standard)
- 1 tank top
- 9 shirts (blouses, peasant tops, cotton shirts)
- 1 Dress
- 5 pairs of socks
- Swimwear
- PJs
Other Miscellaneous Items (not on Mohit's post)
- Laundry soap - where will I get a bucket?
- Sewing kit - the free needle and thread I collected from hotels
- Special face sunscreen
- Sunhat

- Rope for hanging laundry

- Toiletries - 3 oz of shampoo that works with my hair, after it's over I am screwed, Clinique face lotion, razor, floss, feminine products, acne medicine
